What is Collagen Induction Therapy / Microneedling?
Microneedling is a treatment that triggers your body to naturally produce collagen and elastin which allows rejuvenation of your skin.
It is performed by our licensed, professional Naturopathic Doctors and Skin Specialists.
Our ND's and Skin Specialists use the eDermaStamp®, a medical-grade device that is approved by Health Canada. It is comprised of surgical grade micro-needles that deliver 150 strokes per second to your skin.
The device glides over your skin creating controlled, non-traumatic penetration which triggers the natural production of collagen and elastin.
This “controlled damage” allows the wound to heal slowly and correctly, rather than in “emergency mode”, allowing for rejuvenation of your skin.

Why is Microneedling so effective?
In the simplest of terms, it improves the communication between your cells which allows damaged skin to be replaced with new skin.
The microneedling device helps the cells release molecular messengers called Growth Factors and Cytokines.
Growth Factors and Cytokines improve the signalling and function of the cells, which allows better cell to cell communication. This means that the skin can respond to the slight injury it has endured from the procedure by making more collagen, which results in creation of new skin tissue that has improved structure and elasticity.
How much more effective is it?
When you apply skin care products, your skin only absorbs an average of 7% of the active ingredients in a product, the remaining 93% just sits on the surface of your skin.
